FAQs

  • Season Passes/Mainstage Shows

Season Passes and Individual Mainstage Performance ticket purchases can be made securely through our online ticketing system or in person at the venue on the night of a performance. Group sales can be arranged by contacting the box office by email.

We may use a 3rd party platform to sell discounted tickets; the only 3rd party ticket reseller used by Ray of Light Theatre is TodayTix; tickets purchased through any other website or vendor are being resold without our approval or involvement.

    Rocky Horror Show

Tickets for the Rocky Horror Show can be purchased directly through Events Page on the Oasis website.

    Spotlight Cabaret

Spotlight Cabaret tickets are purchased directly with the venue at which the performance is being held, unless otherwise indicated. Links will be posted on the Spotlight Cabaret page when ticket purchases are available.

  • Your Ticket(s) will be delivered Electronically using the e-mail address you provided at the time of purchase. You may print your ticket(s) at home if you wish; however, we are happy to view the tickets on your mobile device as well.

  • All sales are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds or accept returns on any season passes or tickets purchased directly through the Ray of Light Theatre box office or through a 3rd party.

  • Tickets may be exchanged based on ticket availability at the time of the request, credited to your customer account, or converted to a tax-deductible donation to Ray of Light Theatre. Exchanges will be based on the current box office ticket pricing: you may have to pay any difference in price between the ticket you purchased and the ticket for the performance you’d like to attend instead.

Any credit provided must be used by the end of the season in which the purchase was made, otherwise, remaining credit will be converted to a tax-deductible donation to Ray of Light Theatre.

Exchanges may incur an additional $5 processing fee for individually purchased tickets; however, season pass holders may exchange tickets with no additional fee.

  • Accessible and companion seating are available at all performances, but tickets must be processed by the box office directly. Please contact us by e-mail with any accessible seating requests or special seating requests due to medical conditions.

  • We suggest that you arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled performance time to ensure you’re able to make concession purchases, use the restroom, and find your seats.

  • Individuals who arrive late and are not seated by the time the performance begins will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager at the first appropriate time that allows for the least disruption for the performers and audience: depending on the production, it may not be possible to seat you until intermission if you do not arrive on time. You may be asked to sit in an alternate location to avoid disrupting the performance - you may take your assigned seats during intermission if this is the case.

  • We do not operate box office hours in the day, or offer telephone ticket purchases/assistance. E-Mail is the only way to contact the box office prior to a performance.

Artistic Vision

Ray of Light Theatre produces both contemporary musicals and fresh takes on classic musical theatre. We produce theater that reflects and informs our community, driving us to pursue three artistic goals:

  • The development and performance of dynamic musical theatre that excites, challenges and changes our audiences. Our daring aesthetic combines modern theatre production elements with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the original work. This fusion of old and new gives Ray of Light Theatre its unique appeal and an audience base that spans generations.

  • The facilitation of musical theatre training that empowers and inspires local artists of all ages. Ray of Light Theatre’s artistic and technical training programs cater to young people, emerging artists, professional performers and directors, providing practical experiences that allow artists to grow and develop their talent.

  • The production of quality theatrical experiences within realistic means. We believe there is great artistic value in producing within our resources of time, people, materials and finances.

Ray of Light Theatre is a volunteer-run, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Make a tax-deductible donation and invest in the future of live musical theater in San Francisco! No amount is too small (or too big!).
