Production Team

John Bernard (Lighting Designer) – John is excited to be joining ROL this season and to work on none other than the Rocky Horror Show. John Earned his Master’s degree from the University of Washington in 2015. In the area, he has designed for CMTSJ, San Jose Dance Co., City Lights Theater Company, Stanford Repertory Theater, San Jose State University, Silicon Valley Shakespeare, The Dragon Theater, The Pear Avenue Theater, and Hillbarn. His next upcoming project will be Coded at City lights theater company.

Steven Bolinger (Music Director) is a San Francisco-based multi-instrumentalist and composer. He is a member of bands THïTH and The Ethel Merman Experience. Steven has contributed his talents to the musical productions of Ray of Light Theatre (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Thrillpeddlers (Club Inferno), D’Arcy Drollinger (Above and Beyond the Valley of the Ultra-Showgirls), and Peaches Christ Productions (Showgirls: The Musical). He composed the music for Third Cloud from the Left productions The Mariner and Putas Asesinas, co-wrote songs for original musical Dernier Cri, and April Kidwell’s one woman show I, Nomi, and is currently scoring the upcoming Drollinger Production feature film Shit & Champagne.

Connie Caranza (Assistant Stage Manager) Is honored to be working with Ray of Light again! Into the Woods was her first production with them and has since worked in almost every one – recently American Psycho the Musical. She has worked with theatre companies FOGG and The Overcast. She’d like to thank her family and friends for their support!

Peet Cocke (Set Designer) is a director, playwright, and designer. His recent directing credits include Adam Esquenazi Douglas’s Pinned Butterfly, Susan Sobeloff’s Jubilee, Naomi Wallace’s No Such Cold Thing. His original plays include Crush and Hum, Extraordinary Mysteries, and an original adaptation of the Ursula Le Guin novel Voices, entitled Through the Glass Darkly. Lori Fowler (Stage Manager) is elated to be back with Ray of Light Theatre for the entire 2019 season! Lori has stage managed a great deal of shows over scads of years. When not in a dim theatre they can usually be found cross stitching snarky sayings and cuss words, baking or at a bar.

Jerry Girard (Sound Designer) His recent credits include American Psycho (2019) with Ray Of Light. Young and Unafraid (2018) with Custom Made Theatre Company, and Shepard’s Gate (2019) short film. He would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support.

Madeline Lambie (Assistant Director/Assistant Choreographer) is grateful to join the Rocky Horror Show creative team just in time to make her mark on the iconic show’s five-year legacy. Madeline is a member of the Ray of Light Theatre marketing staff, helping bring “blood, sweat and musicals” to the San Francisco stage. Her on-stage credits include ROLT’s “American Psycho” (Christine), the all-female production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” (Apostle), “Reefer Madness” (Ensemble), and Berkeley Playhouse’s “West Side Story” (Minnie/Estrella). Madeline would like to give a special shout out to her teammates Alex Rodriguez and Jason Hoover for giving her this opportunity.

Anton Hedman (Sound Engineer) has provided custom sound design, theater sound reinforcement and engineering, DJ services, and live/studio recording for theaters, clubs, corporate and private events since 1991. Recent theater productions include Ray of Light Theatre’s Yeast Nation, Triassic Parq, CARRIE the Musical, Jerry Springer the Opera; Assassins, and Sweeney Todd; Musical Theatre Works’ Footloose and NDNU’s RENT.

Alex Rodriguez (Director/Choreographer) is an award-winning Bay Area artist who has appeared twice in the role of “Rocky” in Ray of Light’s yearly sensation. ROLT Credits: Choreography for Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Jesus Christ Superstar (TBA Nom 2018), Reefer Madness, Silence! The Musical, The Wild Party (TBA Award 2016) and Heathers: The Musical (TBA and BATCC Awards 2015). Maggie Whitaker (Costume Designer) has been living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 18 years as a costume designer, educator, and artist. Ms. Whitaker is currently the production designer for the international touring production of Dylan Brody’s Driving Hollywood, designing costumes for the world premiere of HeLa by Lauren Gunderson at TheatreFirst, and has recently opened Nora at Shotgun Players and Leni at the Aurora Theatre. Ms. Whitaker is a production manager/designer at Blue Panther Productions and a member of USA829. Ms. Whitaker teaches costume design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
