Rachel Robinson (Music Director) is excited to be returning for a second year in the lab! In addition to music directing last year’s production of Rocky Horror at ROLT, Rachel’s other favorite conducting credits include James and the Giant Peach, Billy Elliot, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Fiddler on the Roof, Shrek (Berkeley Playhouse), Evita, South Pacific (PCRT), Ring of Fire (Altarena Playhouse), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Boxcar Theatre), Chicago (Willows Theatre, Shellie Award Nomination), and Cabaret (Sonoma Theatre Alliance). A versatile Bay Area artist, Rachel has worked extensively as a music director, director, educator, and actress. Christian V. Mejia (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to be working with the Rocky team, after years of admiring ROLT productions from the audience perspective. Christian designs lighting, projection, and scenery throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Some of his favorite design experiences have been with New Conservatory Theatre Center, A.C.T., CenterREP, Town Hall Theatre, Z Space, and Hillbarn Theatre. Daniel Cadigan (Technical Director) has technical-directed every Ray of Light show since Assassins in 2011, and has been working in theater for the past 10 years. Past projects include The Wedding Singer, 42nd Street, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with San Mateo High School; Beauty and the Beast, Miss Saigon, and Ragtime with Broadway by the Bay; and The Color Purple, Rent, and The Crucible with the Department of Theater & Performance Studies at Stanford University.
Anton Hedman (Sound Engineer/Designer) has provided custom sound design, theater sound reinforcement and engineering, DJ services, and live/studio recording for theaters, clubs, corporate and private events since 1991. Recent theater productions include Ray of Light Theatre’s Yeast Nation, Triassic Parq, CARRIE the Musical, Jerry Springer the Opera; Assassins, and Sweeney Todd; Musical Theatre Works’ Footloose and NDNU’s RENT.
Lori Fowler (Stage Manager) is happy to be back with Ray of Light Theatre and will be working with them on Rocky Horror for their third time! Lori has stage managed a lot of shows over a lot of years. Next up Lori will be pressing buttons for Golden Girls Live! right here at the Victoria Theatre throughout the holiday season! When not in a dark theatre they can usually be found cross stitching snarky sayings and cuss words or in the kitchen baking and pickling things. Lori is a proud member of Ring of Keys.
Maggie Whitaker (Costume Designer) has been living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 18 years as a costume designer, educator, and artist. Ms. Whitaker is currently the production designer for the international touring production of Dylan Brody’s Driving Hollywood, designing costumes for the world premiere of HeLa by Lauren Gunderson at TheatreFirst, and has recently opened Nora at Shotgun Players and Leni at the Aurora Theatre. Additional design credits include: Shotgun Players: Truffaldino Says No! (SFBATCC Award ); Aurora: A Bright New Boise, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, Fat Pig (SFBATCC nominee), The Shape of Things and Lobby Hero (Dean Goodman Choice Award); Marin Theatre Company: I and You (world premier), Waiting for Godot; TheatreWorks: Upright Grand (world premiere); Ray of Light Theatre: Rocky Horror Show, Little Shop of Horrors, Assassins (SFBATCC Nominee), Jerry Springer the Opera (SFBATCC Nominee). Ms. Whitaker is a production manager/designer at Blue Panther Productions and a member of USA829. Ms. Whitaker teaches costume design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Leslie Waggoner (Choreographer/Director) is stoked to be back in the lab for a third year! She recently directed and choreographed Debbie Does Dallas The Musical at Oasis featuring many Ray of Light favorites. Recent choreo credits include Rocky Horror (2015 and 2016) with Ray of Light, Ghost and Pageant (OMG), and various shows at Oasis and Feinstein’s. She has performed with AMTSJ, Ray of Light, DTC, Oasis, Magic Theatre, Berkeley Playhouse, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, SF Shakes, Killing My Lobster (5-year company member) and can be seen in BAM’s upcoming 42nd St. this winter.
