Paul Hovannes (Riff Raff) gave up on theatre until, while living in Los Angeles, a friend convinced him to play Riff Raff in a hole-in-the-wall production of Rocky Horror. It led to the realization that theatre is worthwhile for him as long as it’s some combination of weird, intense, silly, gritty, and exciting. Fortunately, upon moving to San Francisco, he found a theatre company that exclusively does shows like that. He was Kurt Kelly in Heathers, Burrs in The Wild Party–and this is his third year playing Riff Raff. Sending squishy love to his Dandelion Chocolate family.
