Sailor Galaviz (Director) is thrilled to be returning to Ray of Light after having last worked with the company on LIZZIE, and The Rocky Horror Show (2015). Other Bay Area credits include work with the queer nightclub Oasis (Above & Beyond the Valley of the Ultra-Showgirls; Bitch Slap, etc.) where they are the resident stage manager and associate producer, Thrillpeddlers (Pearls Over Shanghai, etc.), and Peaches Christ Productions (Showgirls the Musical, etc.). When not working in theater, Sailor can be found performing as their drag persona Piranha and hosting the monthly party Madame at Oasis.
Jason Hoover (Director) began working with Ray of Light in 2006 when he assistant-directed Seussical the Musical. He has served as the Artistic DIrector since 2011. Selected credits include Assassins, The Full Monty, CARRIE the Musical, Yeast Nation, as well as ROLT’s annual production of The Rocky Horror Show. He is a graduate of UC Riverside’s Department of Theatre and serves as the Managing Director of the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre. Alex Rodriguez (Musical Staging) is an award-winning Bay Area artist whose most recent credits include choreography for Ragtime (Berkeley Playhouse), Reefer Madness, Silence! The Musical, The Wild Party (TBA Award 2016) and Heathers: The Musical (TBA and BATCC Awards 2015) for Ray of Light Theatre. National Tour: Miss Saigon. Lori Fowler (Stage Manager) is happy to be back with Ray of Light Theatre for the entire 2018 season, including their third Rocky Horror Show! Lori has stage managed a lot of shows over a lot of years. When not in a dark theatre they can usually be found cross stitching snarky sayings and cuss words, baking or at the bar. Connie Carranza (Assistant Stage Manager) is honored to be working with Ray of Light again! Her first production with them was Into The Woods and since then has worked in almost every production, recently Jesus Christ Superstar. Aaron Mills (Spot Operator) is proud to start his third season with Ray of Light and his second season of his corresponding face mask review show on Facebook Live. Josh Kirkbride (Spot Operator) is an up-and-coming playwright who has been involved in Bay Area theatre for two years. He currently works as a spotlight operator for Ray of Light Theatre, as well as Peaches Christ Productions. Originally from southern California, this San Diego transplant has rooted himself in the San Francisco theatre scene, and hopes to soon direct some of his own work.
Peet Cocke (Set Designer) is a director, playwright, and designer based in Oakland. Het has an MFA in Dramatic Art from UC Davis and an MFA in Visual Art from USC. He is currently a professor of theatre at Las Positas College. His directing credits include Naomi Wallace’s No Such Cold Thing, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe and Charles Mee’s Under Construction and Heaven on Earth. His plays include Extraordinary Mysteries, Even at a Funeral, and Already Done to You and original adaptation of the novel Voices, by Ursula Le Guin, entitled Through the Glass Darkly. As a designer and technical director his work includes The Three Musketeers, Fete de la Nuit, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, ART, 12 Angry Women, and Rajiv Joseph’s Gruesome Playground Injuries.
Daniel Cadigan (Master Electrician) has technical-directed every Ray of Light show since Assassins in 2011, and has been working in theater for the past ten years. Past projects include The Wedding Singer, 42nd Street, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with San Mateo High School; Beauty and the Beast, Miss Saigon, and Ragtime with Broadway By the Bay; and The Color Purple, Rent, and The Crucible with the Department of Theater & Performance Studies at Stanford University.
Anton Hedman (Sound Engineer) has provided custom sound design, theater sound reinforcement and engineering, DJ services, and live/studio recording for theaters, clubs, corporate and private events since 1991. Recent theater productions include Ray of Light Theatre’s The Wild Party, LIZZIE, CARRIE, Jerry Springer the Opera, Assassins, and Sweeney Todd; Musical Theatre Works’ Footloose and NDNU’s RENT. Theodore J.H. Hulsker (Sound Designer) is a Bay Area based theater artist, composer, theater sound/video designer, and curator. This is his fifth season as resident sound and video designer at the San Francisco Playhouse. His recent theater sound design credits include Baltimore Waltz at the Magic Theater, August: Osage County at Marin Theater Company, Seared with San Francisco Playhouse, and Leni at Aurora Theater Company. Theodore curates a monthly event, Klanghaus, showcasing the work of local performing and visual artists in an immersive environment, for which he received a Theater Bay Area CA$H grant in 2016. He has also developed, produced and performed in several original Klanghaus productions including APlayAboutLeaving and The Office of Certain Things. On certain moonlit nights he can be found performing in DIY spaces, bars, cafes and homes as his alter ego The SHOWMAN. He graduated as department honoree from San Francisco State University in 2012. Joe D’Emilio (Lighting Design) is a New York-based lighting designer. Recent NYC credits: Siren’s Den (Miller-Coffman Productions) and Danza Debuts (United Palace of Cultural Arts). Past Ray of Light Theatre credits: LIZZIE (TBA Award), The Wild Party, Heathers the Musical, Triassic Parq (TBA Award), and CARRIE. Other Bay Area credits: West Side Story (Broadway By the Bay), Bye Bye Birdie and The Full Monty (Contra Costa Musical Theatre), and The Letters (Aurora Theatre Company). Additionally, Joe tours as the Lighting Director for the American circus company Cirque Mechanics, and is the resident Lighting Designer for Circus Juventas in St. Paul, MN.
